Why does the nail polish Nimble uses matter? Why can't I use my own nail polish?Updated a year ago
Nimble’s AI + robotics use a complex combination of math and physics to paint your nails - and the consistency of the polish is very important in achieving good results. First, Nimble scans the size, shape, and curvature of your nails. Then, based on the specific color you put into the device, it runs 20+ algorithms to calculate how much polish it needs to pick up and how many brush strokes it takes to apply the right amount of nail polish to your specific nail.
Every color has different properties - viscosity, level of pigments, etc. - that’s why each color has a specific set of math that it runs on. Once a capsule set has been opened and used for the first time, the properties change, so the math has to change - and consequently, our confidence level in providing a great manicure.
You and I - or our favorite nail tech at a salon - may not feel the difference between applying a Nimble polish vs. a regular polish, but Nimble’s software and robotic arm is much more sensitive.
